Check-in and check-out
Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is by 11am. Arriving on the Karakoram Highway is rarely predictable, so if you expect to reach us late, tell us and we will keep someone up. Early check-in and late check-out are free when the room allows it — ask on the day rather than in advance.
Children
Children are welcome in every room. Ages decide what a stay costs and how many people a room may hold:
- Under 5 — stays free when sharing the existing bedding.
- 5 to 12 — charged at the child rate, with an extra mattress where the room allows one.
- 13 and over — counted and charged as an adult.
Because a room's capacity is counted in people rather than in beds, a thirteen-year-old takes an adult's place. Tell us the ages when you book and the price you are shown will be the price you pay.
Cancellation
Cancel more than 72 hours before the day you arrive and there is nothing to pay. Inside 72 hours we charge for the first night. If you do not arrive and have not told us, we charge for the first night.
Roads close here. If the Karakoram Highway is shut, or Attabad Lake cannot be crossed, we will not charge you for a booking you had no way of reaching. That is not a formal clause — it is how we have always handled it.
Payment
Rooms may be paid for on arrival, in cash or by card. We do not hold card details to secure a booking. Prices are in Pakistani rupees and include applicable taxes.
Meals
Breakfast is included with every room. Lunch and dinner are cooked to order and are charged separately — please tell us in the morning if you want dinner, so we can shop for it.
We cook for most dietary requirements with a day's notice. Say so when you book rather than on the evening.
Smoking
Rooms and indoor spaces are non-smoking. The terrace and the garden are not.
Pets
We do not have facilities for pets, and cannot accept them in the rooms.
Damage and lost property
Breakages happen and we do not charge for ordinary accidents. Damage beyond that is charged at what it costs us to repair. Anything left behind is kept for three months; write to us and we will arrange to send it on.
Quiet hours
Between 10pm and 7am we ask guests to keep noise down in the corridors and on the terrace. Most people come here for the silence, and it is the one thing we cannot replace.
